A Word of Caution: If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck…

Music and movement programs across the nation have largely become outdated, generic, faceless, “cookie cutter” programs with some offering all the bells and whistles. Some may use impressive gym size and aesthetics, these programs offer lofty claims, clever advertising campaigns, used with cute phrases and children to continue drawing in the trusting, unsuspecting consumer.

Whether the program be brand name or a localized entity, inquirers should ask:
Does it closely monitor each child’s progress? Are classes too crowded for individual instruction leaving children waiting in lines?
How much experience do the “instructors” have? Are they recently trained, with little gymnastics background? Check web sites to see who they are hiring. Beware of lofty claims like consulting “experts” in music and movement for continuing program refinement. In short don’t take a program’s word, do your homework. These are serious issues to consider when selecting a dynamic program for your child.

The Great Strides Monitoring Program

Heidi’s Musical Gymnastics stands “head and shoulders” above other programs since it’s development of The Great Strides Monitoring Program. This challenging program monitors every child, ensuring each child is put in the appropriate, small class equal to his or her skill level. Children are gently challenged to continue making great strides using new, exciting lesson plans in an intimate, child friendly studio. With Heidi’s program you are not overpaying for a name or a “big space”, you are getting a bargain with your dollar and with results.
